VMEM: Listing Day Message from Don Basile, CEO

by on September 27, 2013

This morning our company began trading on the NYSE under the symbol “VMEM.” This is an important milestone for Violin Memory, and today would not have been possible without all of you.

Since 2009, we believed that the storage industry was ready for a fundamental technology shift. Our mission has been to easily enable the adoption of memory-based technology in the data center to allow businesses to run their most important applications at the speed of memory. We are fortunate to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry to make this happen. And we are equally fortunate to have garnered the support and recognition of many customers, partners and industry influencers.

Thank you for helping make Violin what it is today. This milestone is just the beginning, and we look forward to working together in the years to come. Read the full press release about our announcement here. <

  1. Mark McDaniel says:

Congrats to Don Basile, our executive team, and our Toshiba partnership for making this possible! This is my first company IPO and its a very powerful event!

  2. Dave Palmer says:

    Congrats Don!

In Datric’s opinion, Violin Memory accelerates business motion, allowing the art of the possible for the business to accelerate on strategy & exceed quarterly objectives. For SAP customers, in Datric’s opinion, Violin’s memory-based storage system is a preferred alternative to SAP Hana – safe, low risk, delivers 80-90% of expected Hana performance, for significantly less costs.

Datric is exclusively partnering with Violin Memory to drive your market share and earn footprints for Violin Memory. In particular, SAP footprints.

    Best regards,

    Dave Palmer
    Regional Director Sales
    Datric, Inc.

  3. Jim Thomas says:

Congratulations to the entire Violin team. It has been my pleasure working with this team over the past year and yes, we are a very happy customer!
