Drivers

The Violin Memory Appliance requires a host to be configured with both a PCI Express card and a driver to interface between the Operating System (OS) and the Violin appliance. The Driver provides:

	Block Device Interface
	Character Device Interface

Linux drivers are available as open source. These drivers include:

	Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
	SUSE Enterprise Linux 10

Microsoft drivers will be available imminently. These drivers will include:

	Microsoft Server 2003
	Windows XP
	Windows Vista
