The power savings of VXM come from the following characteristics:

	Fewer active links: The switched topology of VXM minimizes the number of links that need to be active at any point in time.
	Fewer commands: The DRAM management commands are handled locally on a VIMM and not sent over the network.
	Managed DRAM power state: The VXM architecture manages the power states of its DRAM devices to maximize efficiency.
